Submission Guidelines
Please note that all stories submitted to the site are subject to the
approval of the site administrators.
Submission Guidelines
• All stories should focus on characters from Gilmore Girls. Real
Person Fanfiction will not be acepted.
• All stories submitted to the archive must be your own work. Plagiarism
will not be tolerated. Any instance of plagiarism proved to the satisfaction
of the archivist will result not only in the removal of the offending
story, but all other stories by that author.
• Please proofread. Submitted fanfiction is expected to be relatively
free of typos, spelling errors, and grammar mistakes. If there are spelling/grammatical
errors in your fic's title or summary, it will not be added to the archive.
If you can't find a beta to help you edit your story, at least run your
fic through spellcheck. For more information on finding a beta reader,
please see the Help page.
• Please use accurate categories and warnings. If you include spoiler
warnings in your author's notes, please only reference the episode for
which your fic includes spoilers. Do not include the actual spoiler itself,
as that defeats the purpose.
• Stories can only be submitted in one category. If your story
fits in more than one category, you'll have to choose one.
• Author's notes should not be posted as a separate chapter.
• All stories must be in English.
Formatting
• There should be a double space between paragraphs. Please remember that
each new speaker begins a new paragraph.
• Please capitalize titles. If your story only has a single chapter, please
include the story title as the chapter title. If you do not have chapter
titles for multi-chapter fics, each chapter should be named "Chapter x"
or "Part x". Do not give chapters simple numerical names, such "1".
• Capitalization is your friend. Fics without capitalization will not
be approved for posting.
• Fics are automatically formatted for line breaks when posting, so there
is no need to include HTML tags. However, if you would like to use simple
tags, such bolding or italicizing, you may include those when posting.
• To include an author's note at the beginning of your fic, please put
five hard returns after the note and before the chapter text.
Remember: Your story and its chapters will not be posted until approved
by the site administrators. |
